About Krista Denio and Ryan Eggensperger
Krista DeNio (Movement theater performer/director/educator) creates post-modern movement theater. Her most recent collaborations and influences include work with Leigh Fondakowski (Tectonic Theater), and Tectonic's 'Moment Work' technique. In San Francisco Krista has worked with Jo Kreiter and Flyaway Productions, Kim Epifano and Epiphany Productions, Angus Balbernie and 1000GreyBirds, Gabriel Todd and FreakSoulTribe, Rachael Lincoln, and others. She just received her MFA from Naropa University's MFA Theater: Contemporary Performance program. In 2002, she co-founded the Experimental Performance Institute (EPI) at New College of California, where she currently serves as Outreach Director and faculty.
Ryan Eggensperger (actor/playwright) uses absurdist humor to deal with contemporary society's most ugliest stuff. His work has been met with acclaim at The Toronto Fringe Festival, The New York Fringe Festival, The Boulder International Fringe Festival, The Peoples' Improv Theater (NYC), and The Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art. His solo theater piece, "Completely Satisfied Men," (directed by Krista DeNio) won "Pick of the Fringe," at the 2006 Boulder International Fringe Festival.
