Join us Friday, December 15th for installment #44 of the MilkBar’s occasional studio salon series.
Friday’s line-up includes screenings of new works by:
David Coll – Family Project creates a house of people among an internet of things and a filmset tele-presence of musicians and dancers chatting about privacy
Qilo Matzen brings a solo choreographed by Lisa Fay, that is an embodied response to the Orlando nightclub massacre of 2016
Nina Haft brings a duet excerpt of Crows – a meditation on the great intelligence and society of our dark-winged neighbors.
Cherie Hill continues her epic and deep exploration of collaborative dance and dub music.
Diana Lara and Joy Cosculluela bring work deconstructing and interested in somatically healing their Catholic, Spanish colonized upbringings.
Allison Holt’s Hypercubes simulate chunks of space-time erased from the fabric of reality, like a hole in the air – they reveal the unseen phenomena present in the same time and space occupied by their viewers.
Stacey Goodman brings recent work elegantly exploring presence, duration, site and history.
Ian Winters will show an excerpt of Summer, Winter, Spring, the Market St. video timelapse project that explores the seasons and rhythms of the very public space at the heart of SF that is the UN Plaza.
Door is at 8pm, show at 8:30.
